Boca Quepos

Boca Quepos is a surf spot located in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, near the town of Quepos and close to the Quepos river mouth. The spot is known for its fast, hollow left waves that can reach lengths of 300 to 500 meters when the surf forecast shows a strong west or northwest swell, especially during low tide. The bottom is a mix of sand and rocks. Access to the break involves walking along the beach and a long paddle, sometimes starting by jumping off the sea wall into the boat channel and then walking the sandbar. The spot is rarely crowded, but when it is, respect the locals and always check the surf etiquette.
