Backwash

Backwash is a surf spot located in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, in Backwash Bay near Matapalo. The spot is known for its right waves. The best conditions for surfing at Backwash are during low to mid tide, with optimal swell coming from the south to southwest and winds from the northwest. The spot is most consistent with clean groundswells.
