About this Spot
Mini Cloudbreak is a surf spot located in Fiji and Islands, Fiji, about 3 kilometers offshore from Seashell Cove Resort and around 40 minutes west of Nadi by boat. The spot is only accessible by boat, with the closest access point being Seashell Cove Resort. The surf spot provides left waves. The wave breaks over a shallow, sharp coral reef, so wearing protective gear like chainmail is recommended. The bottom is coral reef, and the spot is best surfed at medium and high tide to avoid the most dangerous shallow sections. Surfing at low tide is not advised due to the risk of injury from the exposed reef. Mini Cloudbreak is known for its powerful, hollow barrels that can stretch over 300 meters when the swell lines up. The spot needs a bit of swell to start working and is very consistent, with the prevailing southeast winds blowing about 70% of the year in Fiji, which are generally favorable for the wave. The spot is considered a regional classic and is best suited for experienced surfers due to the heavy and challenging conditions. The length of the ride is usually less than 50 meters unless conditions are perfect. The crowd is usually light, but when it gets busy, always respect the locals and check the surf etiquette. The atmosphere in the water depends on the group you go out with, as most people arrive by boat. Check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. Injuries are possible due to the sharp coral, so caution is important. For the latest surf forecast, report, map, and webcam updates, check reliable surf resources before heading out.
