Extensions is a surf spot located inside the Cape Nature Reserve near Olifantsbos Point, South Africa. The spot features a mix of rocks and sand on the bottom, with waves breaking over a rock shelf and sandbank. The surf spot provides right waves. Extensions is known for its hollow and fast waves, especially when the swell is up, and the takeoff can get challenging when the surf is big. The wave length ranges from 50 to 150 meters. The spot works best at low to medium tide and is most consistent during autumn and winter. The best surf forecast for Extensions is with a swell coming from the southeast, south, southwest, or west, with a minimum swell height of 2 feet. The ideal wind direction for the spot is northwest, north, or northeast. The water temperature averages around 16.3°C, so a spring wetsuit is usually enough. Extensions is considered a regional classic and is best suited for intermediate and experienced surfers, not recommended for beginners.
