Irita Hama is a surf spot located in East Central Honshu, Japan, on the Izu Peninsula near Shimoda. The beach has a sandy bottom and is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf spot provides both left and right waves. The length of the ride ranges from 50 to 150 meters, and the spot works on all tides. The frequency of surfable waves is regular, and the crowd is usually light, making it a good option if nearby spots like Tadado Beach are busy. Access to Irita Hama is by a small road after passing Tadado Beach and a local casino, but parking can be difficult to find. The beach is divided into surfing and swimming areas, and the water quality is rated A-AA by local authorities. Facilities include toilets, hot showers, and in the summer, a noodle stand on the left side of the beach run by a local artist from June 10th to the end of August.
