Jogashima is a surf spot located in East Central Honshu, Japan. The spot sits on Jogashima Island, which is at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture. The island is about 2 kilometers long and 200 to 600 meters wide, connected to the mainland by the Jogashima Ohashi Bridge. The surf spot has a bottom made up of both sand and rocks, and the area is known for strong rips and undertow, so be aware of the currents when you paddle out. The spot is generally empty, but if you find other surfers in the water, respect the locals and always follow surf etiquette, especially when the spot gets crowded.
