Pico das Almas is a surf spot located in Ceará, Brazil, near the village of Cumbuco. The spot sits on a sandy beach with clear waters and is surrounded by coconut trees. To reach Pico das Almas, take the road to Cumbuco City, pass the village, and continue until the road ends at a hotel. From there, turn right toward the beach and then take a left, driving along the sand for about five minutes with a 4×4 vehicle. The surf spot is known for its powerful waves that break over a sand bottom, with wave heights reaching up to 5 feet during high tide. The best conditions for surfing are with winds from the south or southwest and swells from the north or northeast. The ideal tide for surfing here is mid tide. The spot provides both left and right waves. The length of the ride ranges from 50 to 150 meters. Pico das Almas is usually empty, but always respect the locals and check the surf etiquette when the spot is crowded. The spot is recommended for intermediate surfers due to the strength of the waves and the presence of rips and undertow. Check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. The area is also popular for kitesurfing, especially from August to December when the winds are strong. There is little infrastructure at the beach, but some vacation homes are available for rent.
