Tandjungs is a surf spot located in Bali, Indonesia. The spot is situated in the Sanur area on the eastern coast of Bali. Tandjungs, also known as Tanjung Sari, is a reef break that offers right waves. The waves at Tandjungs can extend up to 50 – 150 meters over the coral reef bottom. This surf spot is considered a regional classic and is suitable for intermediate surfers. Tandjungs is very consistent in terms of wave frequency. The spot works well at all tides, offering opportunities for surfers throughout the day. When surfing at Tandjungs, it’s important to be aware of the rocks in the break. The reef can be shallow so wearing booties is recommended. The left side of the break can produce small, hollow waves with fun barrels, particularly at high tide. Tandjungs can get crowded at times, so it’s crucial to respect the locals and follow proper surf etiquette. Check your skills before paddling out to make sure the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. To access Tandjungs, drive towards Sanur and head for the beach. You’ll find the parking area near the spot, but be prepared to pay a small fee. The surf conditions at Tandjungs are most favorable during the wet season, from November to April, when offshore winds from the west combine with groundswells from the south. Nearby spots include Sindhu Right, Sindhu Beach, Tanjung Left, Sanur, and Hyatt Reef. Remember to check the surf forecast and report before heading out to Tandjungs.
