Overview
About this Spot
Conspicuous Beach is a surf spot located in South West Australia, Australia. This beach is known for its long stretch of sand and multiple breaks along its length. The best waves are found at the far left-hand end of the beach, where a right-hand break can be enjoyed. However, on good days, surfers can find both left and right waves throughout the beach, thanks to the shifting sandbanks that make each visit unique. The beach features a combination of sand and rock bottoms, which can create challenging conditions, including rips and undertows. Surfers should be aware of the presence of rocks and the potential for sharks in the area. The waves at Conspicuous Beach are considered a regional classic, with a wave length of less than 50 meters, making it suitable for surfers of all experience levels. The spot is generally uncrowded, providing ample space for surfers to enjoy the waves. Nearby surf spots include Twisties, The Right, Mandalay Beach, Ocean Beach, and Lowlands Beach. To reach Conspicuous Beach, drive east from Walpole and turn onto Conspicuous Cliffs Road, then drive to the end and park. A walk up the beach will lead you to the surf spot. Surfers are encouraged to check their skills before paddling out to ensure the conditions match their level. Additionally, it’s important to observe surf etiquette, especially in crowded spots. Respect the locals.
