About this Spot

Porto Covo is a surf spot located in Alentejo, Portugal. There are a few different peaks in the coves north of the fisherman village of Porto Covo and some others on the south side, all with a mixed sand and rocky bottom that provide both left and right rides. The waves typically range in length from 50 to 150 meters. Parking is available on the cliffs, and there is a little snack bar on the beach. Camping is available in Porto Covo, just a 5-minute walk from the spot. The spots here are moderately crowded, and are suitable for beginners, with a range of board options including beginner and softboards, shortboards, mid and retro boards, and longboards.
