La Vela is a surf spot located on the east coast of Italy in Portonovo, in front of Spiaggia della Vela. The spot is a right-hander breaking on cobbles. It is not suitable for beginners. The best swell directions for La Vela are north, northeast, and east, while the best wind directions are south, southwest, and west. The spot tends to be moderately crowded. Respect the locals.
