About this Spot

One of the most famous (and crowded) surf spots in Liguria. The sea bottom here is a mix of sand and rocks. The bay of Levanto offers different peaks that can provide both lefts and rights and start working depending on the swell size and direction. Surfing here can be easy with small swells but the level required to surf here changes as the swell grows. When big, Levanto is a spot for a few advanced surfers and can become very dangerous due to the shallow bottom and the rocks. The best conditions for surfing at Levanto occur with swells from the south and southwest, and winds from the north, northeast, east, and southeast. Respect the other surfers in the water and review the surf etiquette before entering the water.
