The surf spot is part of the larger Versilia coast, which is known for its long sandy beaches. The name Torre del Lago, which translates to “Tower of the Lake”, comes from an old watchtower located near the lake of Massaciuccoli. The area is also famous for being the residence of the renowned composer Giacomo Puccini. The best swell directions for this spot are southwest and west, while the optimal wind directions are northeast and east.
