Il Tonfano

The best swell directions for this spot are south, southwest, and west, while the most favorable wind directions are northeast and east. Given the nature of the waves, Il Tonfano is suitable for different types of surfboards. Softboards and beginner boards are recommended for those who are new to the sport or looking to improve their skills. Short, mid, and retro boards can be used for more experienced surfers. Longboards are also a good option, offering a classic surfing experience. The surf spot is easily accessible, located in the village of Marina di Pietrasanta. To reach Il Tonfano, surfers can take the A12 motorway and exit at Versilia. You can leave your car in the parking of the Boardriders shop or in the nearby streets. It can be crowded, so respect the surf etiquette and the other surfers in the water.
