To reach Farnborough, head north from Yeppoon on Farnborough Road, turn right before Rydges Resort, and continue to Bangalee. From there, access the beach with a 4×4 vehicle and follow the trail to the Big Dune Surfing Reserve. Nearby surf spots include Kemp Beach and Great Keppel Island.
