Parking is available at Caves car park, and from there, surfers can easily access the spot. The best conditions occur with offshore winds, which can produce some of the hollowest barrels around. Surfers should keep an eye out for Cudgee heads sticking out of the water. Nearby surf spots include Frenchmans Beach, Crabbes Creek, Frenchmans Reef, Moon Island, and Blacksmiths Beach.
