Overview
About this Spot
Boilers is a surf spot located in South Morocco, Morocco, known for its challenging right-hand waves that break over a boulder bottom. This spot is situated approximately 35 minutes north of Agadir and is characterized by its world-class wave quality, making it suitable for intermediate to expert surfers. The waves at Boilers are long and fast, with a length ranging from 50 to 150 meters, and they can become quite intense and steep due to the wind from the mountains. The best conditions for surfing here are during low tide, and the ideal wave size is around 6-8 feet, although experts can enjoy the spot with waves up to 12 feet or more. Entering and exiting the water can be challenging, especially when the waves are big, so it’s important to wait for a lull between sets and paddle hard to reach the lineup. The spot is relatively uncrowded, providing a more solitary surfing experience, but it’s essential to check the surf etiquette when surfing crowded spots and to assess your skills before paddling out to ensure the waves match your level. Boilers is easily accessible by following the road from Taghazout to Essaouira, and it’s clearly visible on maps as you follow the road along the south-facing tip. Parking is available near the spot. Respect the locals.
