Carrapateira

Carrapateira is a surf spot located in Algarve, Portugal. It features a long exposed beach with two main surfing areas. The southern end has a point break off the rocks that works at low to mid tide on most swells, producing left-breaking waves. The second area, located about 200 meters up the beach, offers a-frame peaks on good days, particularly during mid to high tide. The wave length is less than 50 meters, and it is recommended for intermediate surfers due to the presence of rips and undertow.
