Lillatro

Lillatro is one of the best surf spots in Tuscany, usually very crowded. Three main a-frame peaks breaking on flat rocks. The first peak (“Il Primo”) has a longer right-hander, which becomes steep and fun as size increases. The second peak (“Il Centrale”) has both high quality left and right, the left is better and longer on smaller days; longboards are not allowed on this peak. The third peak (“Il Terzo”) offers fun in both directions, but longer and steeper runs on the left. The best swell directions for this location are southwest, west, and northwest, while the most favorable wind directions are northeast and east. Not a place for beginners. Respect the other surfers and you’ll be respected, study some surf-etiquette before coming here, and don’t scream. Beware, car thieves at work. Polluted water.
