Naples Pier is a surf spot located in Gulf of Mexico, Florida. The spot provides both left and right waves. It’s situated at the western end of 12th Avenue South in Naples, extending into the Gulf of Mexico. The surf spot features a sandy bottom and is suitable for surfers of all levels. Wave consistency at Naples Pier is sometimes breaks, with a wave length of less than 50m. The spot typically experiences few surfers, making it less crowded. The north side of the pier often forms bowl-shaped waves, while the south side tends to offer longer, softer waves. During large cold fronts, the north side can be blown out, but the south side may still have good bowls. Surf conditions are generally inconsistent, with waves typically ranging from 3 to 8 feet. The best surfing conditions usually occur during low to mid tides. Water temperatures at Naples Pier are warm year-round, ranging from 68°F to 88°F depending on the season. Parking is available near the pier, but meters require quarters. The pier parking lot is closed from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am. It’s important to note that due to damage from Hurricane Ian, only a portion of the pier is currently open to the public, and fishing is not permitted at this time.
