Occasionally, the waves can barrel next to the rocks, and the rides can be long. The wave direction at Blackfellows Point is predominantly right, and the bottom is sandy, making it suitable for surfers of all experience levels. The spot breaks at all tides and offers wave lengths ranging from 50 to 150 meters. It is an empty and isolated spot, providing a peaceful surfing experience without the crowds. To reach Blackfellows Point, drive out on the Potato Point road and take the turnoff at the end to Blackfellows Point Caravan Park. From there, you will see the spot at the end of the road. A walk down the cliff and an easy paddle out will get you to the waves. Nearby surf spots include Potato Point, Brou Beach, Dalmeny Point, Yabbarra, and Narooma Breakwall. While Blackfellows Point may not always line up, there is another point at Potato Point itself, but only if there is a decent swell running. The nearby beachbreaks can also be okay.
