Fairy Meadow

Fairy Meadow is a surf spot located in New South Wales, Australia, just north of Wollongong city. This spot features a mellow group of sandbars that can form and wash out like many other setups. On a low tide with a good bar, the waves can become hollow. The surf spot provides both left and right waves, making it accessible for surfers of all levels. The bottom is sandy, and the waves are generally less than 50 meters in length. The surf spot is known for its chill vibe, with only a few locals in the water, often joined by international students from nearby university dorms. The crowd is typically sparse, with no more than ten people in the water at a time. Fairy Meadow is less crowded than other nearby spots, making it a nice day trip to the beach. Parking is available at the Fairy Meadow Beach parking lot, which is equipped with a lifeguard tower and many sandbars. Nearby spots include Towradgi, Wollongong Puckies Reef, Acids, The Bombie North Beach, and North Beach.
